Allysan Hinebauch is one of those 9-year-olds who has wisdom way beyond her years. Recently diagnosed with Grave’s Disease, an autoimmune disorder disrupting thyroid function, Allysans positive attitude is inspirational. Not only does Allysan strive every day to have a positive spirit herself, but she also shows the desire to help others around her achieve the same outlook, reaching out to peers that may be feeling down. Since being diagnosed with Grave’s Disease, Allysan has had to get her blood drawn quite often. Along with Allysan’s determination to maintain a positive attitude, what helps her get through the process is having a kind and attentive phlebotomist: Nicole Jordan.

A medical assistant for over 20 years, Nicole has always had a passion for maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for her patients. Nicole always tries to makes sure to create a safe and well-informed experience for the patient, talking them through every step of the process. For Nicole, the ability to change a patient’s impression of past experiences with blood draws and turn them into a positive and comfortable process is what makes it all worthwhile!
